ALLISON TRANSMISSION CLASSES

Provide understanding and operation of the torque converter, transmission construction, service requirements, installation guidelines and troubleshooting procedures, external features and options, preventive maintenance, hydraulic system, electronic control system and the use of Allison “DOC”. This is the ILT class that completes the E Learn WBT requirement. Technicians must enroll for this class through the Allison E Learn web site upon completion of all required Web Based Training paths.

Course Fee: $650

Class attendees will disassemble and reassemble the transmission. Overhaul procedures and qualifying used parts for reuse or replacement will be discussed as well as proper measuring techniques and procedures in relation to rebuilding the transmission. Technicians must enroll for this class through the Allison E Learn web site upon completion of all required Web Based Training paths.

DD15 Engine Classes ILT Track 2 Heavy Duty Courses

G2 WBT Module Prerequisites Are Required to be Completed Before Enrollment is Approved. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Provide an understanding use and access of online resources available to help the technician to aid in troubleshooting issues with the DD engine, also working with DiagnosticLink to aid in the troubleshooting process. Talk about and demonstrate the theory of basic electricity.
Note: A Multimeter must be brought to this class.

Course Fee: $825

G2 WBT Module Prerequisites Are Required to be Completed Before Enrollment is Approved. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Provide classroom discussion of the construction and engine operating principals of the air, fuel, lube and cooling systems, Jake Brake and EGR/Emissions control devices and components. Engine overhaul procedures include hands-on disassembly qualifying parts for reuse and reassembly; demonstrate the use of special tools along with engine tune-up procedures.

Course Fee: $1,375

G2 WBT Module Prerequisites Are Required to be Completed and Must Have Completed the DD Basic Diagnostics CEP42 and DD Major Repair CEP43 ILT Courses Before Enrollment is approved. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Class covers all of the fuel systems used on the DD platform engines, identification of and differences between each system with proper troubleshooting techniques used to diagnose the fuel system.

Course Fee: $1,375

G2 WBT Module Prerequisites Are Required to be Completed and Must Have Completed the DD Basic Diagnostics CEP42 and DD Major Repair CEP43 ILT Courses Before Enrollment is Approved. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Provides an understanding of Air systems used on the DD Series engines includes both the intake and exhaust system, EGR, Engine Brake along with the different after treatment systems that have been used on all models of the DD engines Including those with SCR. Discussions of the Electronic controls used with their functions related to the ATS along with troubleshooting and repair of the Air and ATS systems.

Course Fee: $1,375

DEUTZ Engine Classes

Provides classroom discussion of the construction and engine operating principals of the air, fuel, lube and cooling systems. Engine overhaul procedures include hands-on disassembly and reassembly including tune-up procedures.

Course Fee: $1,100

Class will cover the design and layout of the Deutz Electronic Motor Regulation (EMR) systems and use of the Serdia 2010 diagnostic software will be demonstrated and used for troubleshooting and repair of Deutz engines that are equipped with the EMR systems.

Course Fee: $825

Provides classroom discussion of the construction and engine operating principals of the air, fuel, lube and cooling systems. An understanding of the Aftertreatment systems used on 2.9/3.6 Tier 4i and Tierf with hands on use of Serdia 2010.

Provides classroom discussion of the construction and engine operating principals of the air, fuel, lube and cooling systems. An understanding of the Aftertreatment systems used on Tier 4i and Tierf with hands on use of Serdia 2010.

End User Classes

This class is for End Users who use the Allison “DOC” diagnostic software. Class will cover the general maintenance and troubleshooting of the 1000/2000 and 3000/4000 transmissions and usage of the Allison “DOC” diagnostic tool used for troubleshooting, diagnostics and reprogramming functions of the tool with the Allison Electronic Controls.

Course Fee: $500

Provides classroom and lab discussion on engine cooling, lubrication, fuel system and aftertreatment familiarization and maintenance practices. Attendees will have hands on experience using DiagnosticLink (Detroit Diesel Laptop diagnostic tool) for troubleshooting the DD platform engines and aftertreatment systems EPA 2010, GHG14 and GHG17 emissions systems. Each attendee will participate in practices including engine tune-up, DPF filter replacement procedures and SCR System maintenance procedures. Includes appropriate class retention materials.

Course Fee: $1,100

  • Schedule is subject to change, we reserve the right to make changes as
    necessary.
  • Class size is appropriately limited so enrollment is on a first come, first serve
    basis. For Dealer technicians and all classes labeled as “End User Classes”, a
    completed enrollment form must be received a minimum of two weeks before the
    scheduled starting date. Any enrollment received after that may be subject to a
    higher enrollment fee.
  • Enrollment fees include classroom instruction, hands on experience, retention
    materials and required manuals.
  • Proper dress for classroom and shop work is required including Safety Glasses.
  •  All costs involved for transportation, lodging and meals are the responsibility of
    those enrolling in classes.
  • If no date is listed under the course description, this means there is no
    class currently scheduled within this schedule period.
