Smith Power Products, Inc., would like to welcome 2020 with a few announcements and changes.
The Colorado Smith Power team is now in our 3rd full year in Colorado and as expected, continues to grow. With incredible support from our Smith Power leadership, the Colorado team has continued to see huge growth in product sales and service. 2020 is already shaping up to an extraordinary year.
Engineering Sales – Nick Paolo, PE (npaolo@smithppi.com). Nick replaces Jeremy in the equipment sales role and is working alongside Darrell Caldwell. Nick comes to us directly from MTU where he had several roles including large account management and engineering sales. As regional engineering sales support, Nick worked closely with distribution partners developing projects and presenting topics at Lunch & Learns, industry-related forums and MTU’s annual customer symposiums. Nick will be spearheading our push across our entire AOR with specifying/consulting engineers, large projects and working with a group of important contractors here in Colorado directly.
Service Sales – Mike Hageman (mhageman@smithppi.com) joined us in 2019 to bring a new element to Smith Power by developing and introducing a Service Sales program to the region.
MTU Sales Manager – Jeremy Frum (jfrum@smithppi.com) transitioned responsibility from Colorado equipment sales to Sales Manager overseeing Smith Power’s interactions with MTU and managing multiple large projects within Smith’s AOR.
MTU – 2019 brought about some manufacturing changes as well. MTU Onsite Energy has transitioned to “MTU – A Rolls-Royce Solution” bringing the group in line with international re-branding efforts by MTU’s parent organization, Rolls-Royce.
Lastly, Smith Power is excited to announce the expansion of Smith’s AOR (Area of Responsibility) to now include California for MTU Industrial engines for oil & gas, mining, agricultural and vocational applications. This expansion marks an important moment for Smith in the continuing push to widen our portfolio and footprint. With other product announcements soon to come, the entire Smith Power team is looking forward to 2020.
